Current Project-Scrappy Trips Around the World Quilt

A Scrappy Trips Around the World Quilt. I finished this one last weekend.
There were 60 different fabrics used in the center of this quilt. Each fabric was used twice.

This is the back of the quilt. I'm sorry about the fuzzy images. I was up on a table trying to get far enough from the quilt to get the whole quilt in the picture.

FISH-speckled trout

My husband went fishing today and limited out! He's currently preparing some of the fish for a fish fry tonight. The skinning pliers are in the picture for scale.

fabric books for Caleb

I made these books from commercial book panels while waiting for our newest grandson, Caleb. They were fun to make, it has been a few years since I've made any of these. I'm planning to make a few more creative books for Caleb in the near future. I used interfacing in them instead of batting. LR helped me withe the Jungle Babies book.

9-patches for Caleb

This is the latest quilt I've made for our future grandson. This quilt is similar to one I made a long time ago. I keep this one hid from my son and daughter-in-law. It was really hard to keep it a secret but, I was able to do it. I hand quilted through the 9-patches on the diagonal and I quilted hearts in the plain blocks. The border was a heart border from one of the stencils I collected years ago.
